Exceptional Community Hospital, the city’s first hospital when it opened 13 months ago, launched an initiative over the summer to speed emergency care to patients.

The hospital opened a Fast Track ER designed to reduce wait times as part of its commitment to concierge care. The Fast Track ER is open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The hospital’s regular emergency room, however, is open 24/7.

Now, the medical facility is looking ahead to future phases of development.

Phase 2, which will be constructed north of the current building, will add in-patient and ER rooms, plus an OB/GYN department.

The third phase will incorporate surgery and medical office space.
