Notice something different about inmaricopa.com today? Maricopa’s daily news and information source has altered the position, size and accessibility of its vertical banner ads (previously along the site’s right-hand side) and added a huge “skyscraper” version, offering enhanced visibility for its advertisers. The previous ads have moved below the main navigational bar on the left side of the site and expand into larger messages when the users’ cursors move over a smaller versions.
“The added size and interactive characteristics will increase the effectiveness of our advertisers’ campaigns,” according to inmaricopa.com’s Scott Bartle. “And the number of impressions will also increase significantly as the ads will be placed on all pages of the site.”
“The new skyscraper ad will quickly become the most valuable real estate on the site,” Bartle predicts. “Its size and prominent position adjacent to the content will provide maximum exposure for companies looking to target current and future Maricopa residents.”
The horizontal “leaderboard” ads will not be affected by the changes.
