As you gather with friends and family on this Thanksgiving Day 2006, you will, undoubtedly, be feasting on turkey and giving thanks for many things.

Like you, the team has many reasons for being thankful today:

I am thankful for all those in Maricopa who have graciously welcomed me into their homes, at their meetings and in their offices, invited me to their events and cheerfully answered all my questions. I am especially grateful to a husband and children who allow me to be my own person, to all my wonderful Maricopa friends and to my colleagues at – a source of never-ending support and encouragement. – Joyce Hollis, Editor

I’m thankful I don’t live in extreme poverty like the majority of the world. – Aaron Thacker, Assistant General Manager

First and foremost, I am thankful for my daughter; she is the most amazing gift, and each moment I have with her is such a blessing. I am thankful for every person who touches my life and my daughter’s life in a positive way. I have met so many amazing and wonderful people in Maricopa, many of whom have changed my life. I am grateful that I live in a place where it is easy to meet new people and where there is always someone to offer a helping hand when needed. – Carolyn Struble, Operations Manager

I am thankful for friends, really good friends. This year has been consumed with many volunteer projects, adjusting to our new community and beginning a new job. My true friends know when I need a hug, when to kick me in the pants, and, best of all, make me laugh at all my insecurities. To have them (and they know who they are) I am truly blessed. – Kathy Debevec, Operations Assistant

And, finally, our Publisher, Scott Bartle, who is thankful for:
· The most dedicated, loyal, fun and hardest working coworkers in at least all of Pinal County
· Our advertisers for allowing us the opportunity to help them grow
·’s thousands of loyal readers
· People – like Will Dunn, Margaret Jackson and Kelly Haddad – who know there are two sides to every story and seek out both prior to judging people

The entire team would like to express heartfelt thanks to our readers and advertisers. We enjoy being Maricopa’s daily news and information source, and our popularity and success can be attributed directly to all of you!

Happy Thanksgiving!
