A+ Charter Schools hosts donut giveaway as community appreciation event

May 30 from 9-11 a.m., A+ Charter Schools is giving away free donuts to spread kindness and appreciation for the Maricopa community.

A+ Charter Schools is located at 41735 W. Alan Stephens Parkway, west of Banner Health. The donut giveaway will be a drive-thru format located on the back of their property. Turn onto Shea Way off of Porter Road, north of Wal-Mart.

“Individuals have made great sacrifices over the last few months to protect the overall health of our community during the COVID-19 pandemic,” Principal Rachele Reese said. “We want to show our support for the individuals and families who make Maricopa a great place to live by hosting a Community Appreciation Event and giving away free donuts.”

The school has developed its portrait of a graduate, which focuses on student-learner outcomes or skills students should develop by graduation. These include communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and citizenship. As a school focused on citizenship, A+ is committed to supporting the community of Maricopa.

A+ Charter Schools is opening on July 27, 2020 and will start with grades 7-10 in the first year and add grades 11-12 in subsequent years. Space is limited and enrollment is filling up quickly.
