Opening A+ Charter Schools has been years in the making and we were thrilled to open for the 2020-2021 school year for grades 7-10.

Creating a school model that supports the growth of all learners was important to us.  Despite the challenges faced in education this year due to COVID-19, we are already seeing the benefits of project-based learning (PBL), the social-emotional development of students through our Advisory program, guest speakers from a variety of industries, as well as the innovation of our teachers to tackle instruction in a variety of ways.

We are looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year as we add grade 11 and begin our Early College Program in partnership with Central Arizona College, allowing students to earn college credits for free while in high school. We will also have our first cohort of students ready for job shadowing and internships. If your business is interested in hosting a high school junior to learn more about your industry, reach out to us as we would love to partner with you.

Empowering students to solve real-world problems, develop their inquisitiveness, and connect their learning to current events and their community has been powerful. This year we focused on a foundation of project-based learning and supporting students and teachers in a COVID-19 era. Our goal for next year is to dig even deeper into PBL. We have seen growth in our students through the creativity and innovation of our teachers and collaboration with our students, as well as through the extra-curricular activities and electives we have offered – robotics, eSports, athletics, performing arts and more!

We invite you to learn more about the school or to schedule a tour by contacting the school office at 520-265-5589. Open enrollment started on Feb. 1 for grades 7-11 and space is limited. Visit the online enrollment portal at enroll.aplusaz.org to enroll for the 2021-2022 school year.
