A two-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the entrance to Rancho El Dorado. Westbound traffic was re-routed to the eastbound lanes, inevitably making some students tardy on their first day of school.
Builders have ordered a traffic light for this intersection, and, according to the city, it has been approved. However, it is now up to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to schedule the installation. Certainly, accidents like the one on Wednesday highlight the need for the traffic light to be installed sooner rather than later.
