Accident launches water fountain in Fry’s lot

A motorist tangled with some water pipes at the gas station in the Fry’s lot on Friday morning.

Police responded to the scene after the car, a white Lincoln, struck the pipes, sending a spray of water into the air.

It appeared the pipe that burst was protected by a metal cage, but it apparently didn’t offer enough protection from impact.

No injuries are known at this time.

“I was getting gas, and bang!” said Don Lansdale, who photographed the scene.

Global Water was summoned to the scene to turn off the water and make repairs.
