Ace Hardware, “the helpful place,” celebrated its grand opening Friday morning. The store, one of the largest in the area with over 22,000 square feet for merchandise, has a large selection of paint, gardening supplies, lumber, hardware, patio furniture, barbecue grills and more for Maricopa residents.

In addition to free food and drink, giveaways and product demonstrations, the grand opening featured dance performances courtesy of the nearby Maricopa Dance Academy and its owner/instructor Elizabeth Fujimoto. The dance academy, like Ace Hardware, is located in the Cobblestone Fiesta Center.

Entertaining guests and shoppers alike, Kiana Campbell, 10, performed a Scottish Highland dance number. This year Campbell placed sixth in the Western Regional Dance Championships held in Pomona, California; she has been dancing since she was two years old and doing the Highland dance for the past six years.
