Alleged sexual assault/attempted kidnapping of Queen Creek girl

    On Wednesday, at approximately 1 p.m., Pinal County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alleged sexual assault/attempted kidnapping that occurred in the 39000 block of Webb in the Pecan Creek Subdivision off of Webb and Chandler Heights Roads in Queen Creek.

    A 12-year-old girl was playing in the park immediately adjacent to her home when a white male allegedly approached her and engaged her in conversation, then suddenly grabbed her from behind, duct taped her mouth, threw her to the ground and physically assaulted her. She was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital.

    The park and surrounding area was locked down. Pinal County deputies, K-9’s and detectives responded to the area and attempted to locate the suspect. Detectives are continuing the investigation.

    Suspect information at this time is a white male, approximately 5’9″, medium build, age unknown. A black F-150 was seen leaving the area immediately after the attack, but it is unknown if it was involved. The suspect is unknown to the victim.
