My family has lived in Maricopa since 2005. We have seen tremendous growth and change. We are not only proud to be residents of Maricopa, but we are extremely proud of the incredible learning opportunities made accessible to our daughter through Maricopa Unified School District.

She will be entering her junior year at MHS in August 2021 and has been part of MUSD public schools since she was in kindergarten. She is planning to pursue a career in environmental sciences and engineering, a direct impact of her middle school experience at the statewide Future Cities competitions.

Not only has MUSD provided my daughter with engineering and project-based learning opportunities, and she has also participated in community service, band and clubs that are positively contributing to and shaping her future. She is excelling in all areas of her academics and is maturing into a well-rounded human because of the MUSD teachers and experiences that have been a part of her life.

My husband and I both work in midtown/uptown Phoenix. We could place our daughter in any school district between here and there, but we are proud members of the Maricopa Unified School District because of the many ways that they keep students learning and community at the forefront of all decision making.

Continuing the override makes sense for the district, our community and, most importantly, the students that MUSD serves every day.
