Maricopa residents have been saying, “I’m Thinking Arby’s”– since a new Arby’s restaurant opened in late July at 21600 N. John Wayne Parkway. A weekend-long Grand Opening celebration will be held August 10-12 at the restaurant. The 2,700 square foot location will employ 44 local residents, including four managers.

The Grand Opening event will feature great food and fun events for the whole family. The first 100 dinner customers on Thursday and Friday will have the opportunity to roll dice for a chance to win $10,000. Arby’s will also give away t-shirts and gift cards, with a clown and magician on hand to provide entertainment for the children. Customers can also register to win dinner for themselves and 25 friends, as well as a new bicycle and other prizes.

The first 50 customers on Friday and Saturday will receive an Arby’s Gift Card worth $25 in Arby’s delicious food, and the Maricopa High School Band will play during dinner hour on Friday night.

Chamber of Commerce President Byron Fanning, Mayor Kelly Anderson, Councilman Joe Estes and Cozy the Clown joined Arby’s executives at today’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“We built the new location in response to high demand for the Arby’s concept in the Maricopa area,” said Charles Harmon, President of FX4, which currently owns and operates 46 Arby’s locations in Arizona. “We are pleased to offer a convenient location for Maricopa residents to get a quality deli style sandwich in a hurry.”

Arby’s offers its guests its signature Market Fresh™ line of sandwiches, wraps and salads or long-time favorites like slow-roasted and freshly sliced Roast Beef’n Cheddar sandwiches, curly fries and Sidekickers®.

“Our team includes both crew members and management from the Maricopa area,” said Harmon. “We are looking forward to playing an integral role in the community by building relationships and supporting our community.”
