The Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee is scheduled to announce a partnership Thursday between the Ak-Chin Indian Community and Super Bowl XLIX (49) to be played Feb. 1, 2015 at the University of Phoenix stadium.
The game will mark seven years since Arizona last hosted the world’s largest single-day sporting event and, according to a press release, will allow the Ak-Chin and host committee to showcase Arizona as a great place to live, work and play.
The announcement is expected to be made at 10 a.m. at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club by Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee Chairman David Rousseau, Ak-Chin Tribal Chairman Louis Manuel, Jr., and Arizona Host Committee Board Member Michael Bidwill.
