No job too big or small for local landscaper

Whether you just want one tree planted or a complete desert landscape, Dan Dawn of Arroyo Vista Landscape & Design, Inc., can do the job.

“We do just about everything,” Dawn said. “We can do extensive deck work, fire pits, barbecues, and huge hardscape projects, which means there is masonry work involved.”

Arroyo Vista Landscape is owned by Dawn and his brother, Patrick. Dan works exclusively in Maricopa and Patrick works in Maricopa and Gilbert.

The brothers have 25 years combined experience in the landscape business. Though they have one full-time employee and two part-time employees, the Dawns like to do much of the work themselves.

“We like to get down and dirty,” Dan said.

The company was started in 2005 with the simple goal of satisfying their customers, Patrick said.

Their services include designing and installing landscapes, cleanups at vacant houses, reinstallations and remodeling jobs and plant replacement.

Both have experience working for other landscape businesses and wanted to combine their experience with quality work and customer service.

Dan said he likes the design aspect, or the creative part, of doing a landscape.Patrick agreed.

“Every job is different and unique, just like snowflakes,” he said. “We never did a job that was similar to another one.”

Dan said when they are first contacted about a job they do a free consultation at the residence, return to do all the measurements and return again with their proposed design.

He said he will combine ideas from the customers with his own to come up with the most cost-effective design.

Patrick said the company started small because they wanted to work within their means and provide good customer service. But that doesn’t mean they don’t have plans to expand.

“We want to grow as the community grows, and we want to expand into commercial,” Dan said.
