Back to school supply drive to benefit local schools

Exceptional Community Hospital is sponsoring a Back to School Supply Drive to benefit local schools. Hospital staff will be participating as well with a competition to collect the most supplies. We invite the community to help us. All participants who contribute will receive a voucher for a free movie, small popcorn, and drink to be redeemed at Ak-Chin Circle on Saturday, Aug. 20.

“We are excited to include the community in support of our local schools,” The hospital said in a release.

Contributions can be made anytime at Exceptional Community Hospital through Aug. 12. School supplies will also be accepted at Ak-Chin Circle on Saturday, Aug. 13 from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Suggested items include highlighters, pencils, pencil pouches, Lysol/Clorox wipes, dry erase markers, crayons, scissors, and composition notebooks.
