Beautiful conditions greet church’s annual services, day in the park

On a picture-perfect afternoon Sunday, dozens came out to Copper Sky Regional Park for Calvary Chapel Maricopa’s annual Church in the Park.

Following a service by Pastor Roger Thompson, lunch was served and then fellowship was enjoyed under a clear sky with moderate temperature for the congregation.

The annual day in the park is consistent with Calvary Chapel Maricopa’s belief that worship should be inspirational, a church official said.

Regular Sunday services are 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the church, 44301 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Hwy., Suite 8, in Stage Stop Marketplace
