Cyclist in stable condition after crash with driver

A 57-year-old cyclist is in stable but serious condition today after receiving injuries to his head and face Sunday during a collision with a motor vehicle, according to the Maricopa Police Department.

Around 7 p.m., Maricopa police and fire personnel responded to West Honeycutt Road east of White and Parker Road.

The 39-year-old male driver said he was travelling east on West Honeycutt Road when the collision occurred.

Fire personnel examined the 57-year-old male bicyclist at the scene and had him taken by ambulance to Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix.

No charges have been filed at this time and the collision is under investigation.
