Bill Bridwell elected president of regional Boys and Girls Clubs

During their recent annual meeting held in Reno, Nevada, Bill Bridwell was elected President of the Desert Area Council of Boys and Girls Clubs which is made up of Boys and Girls Clubs from Arizona, Nevada and Utah. Bridwell is a Casa Grande businessman who unsuccessfully campaigned to represent Maricopa and Western Pinal County on the Board of Supervisors last November.

Bridwell is a founding Director and Past President of the Boys and Girls Club of Casa Grande Valley and served two terms as Chairman of the Arizona Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs. Prior to moving to Casa Grande in 1983, Bridwell served eight years on the Board of Directors of the then Scottsdale Boys Club and has been involved in the Boys and Girls Club movement for 30 years.

In 2002, Bridwell was named one of the top 10 volunteer members in the nation at the Boys and Girls Clubs of America National Convention.

Bridwell owns and operates Golden Touch Realty and Developers specializing in first-time and low-income homebuyers and specialty construction projects. In addition to his involvement in The Boys and Girls Clubs, Bill serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce, the Central Arizona Hospice Foundation, the Pinal County Republicans, the Seeds of Hope “Ed Hooper” Scholarship Committee and is a member of the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce.

The Boys and Girls Club of Casa Grande Valley currently operates clubhouses in Casa Grande and Arizona City. The Board is looking for funding for expansion sites in Casa Grande and Maricopa.
