At recent state GOP meetings, long time local Casa Grande businessman and Vice-chairman of the Pinal County Republicans, Bill Bridwell, was elected to serve a four-year term on the Arizona GOP Executive Board. Bridwell is the first representative from Pinal County to serve on the state executive committee.

President of the Western Pinal Republican Club, Bridwell also serves on the board of directors of the Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce, the Boys and Girls Club of Casa Grande Valley, the Hospice Charitable Fund of Central Arizona, Seeds of Hope, Ed Hooper Scholarship Committee and the Kiwanis Club of Casa Grande. Bill was a candidate for County Supervisor in 2004 and served two terms on the Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission. He and his wife, Marilyn, own and operate Golden Touch Realty and Developers in Casa Grande.

Pinal County was recognized as the fastest growing Republican county in the state at the same meeting. County Chairperson Sharron Gill accepted the award from State Chairman Matt Salmon on behalf of the county committee. Legislative District 23 Representative Cheryl Chase also received special recognition at the event.

Local businessman Timothy Lee, representing Congressional District One as a delegate to the meeting, confirmed that Senator Jon Kyl and Congressman Rick Renzi will be keynote speakers at an upcoming GOP meeting to be held at the Francisco Grande Resort in Casa Grande on February 18. The annual event honors Abraham Lincoln, founder of the Republican Party. Numerous elected officials and GOP candidates will be in attendance.

Persons interested in attending the Feb. 18 Lincoln Day luncheon or becoming involved in the Republican Party can contact Bridwell via email.
