Bristol Palin offered local radio job

Maricopa residents could soon hear a new neighbor on their morning commute.

Clear Channel’s Mix 96.9 has offered a gig to Bristol Palin, daughter of polarizing Republican politico Sarah Palin.

“It is an official offer to a very well known personality, who may be looking for a new career in what will most likely be her new home state,” station program director Ron Price said in a news release.

The offer was formally extended over the air by the channel’s morning disc jockey, Matthew Blades.

If Palin were to accept she would work along side the morning show talk host.

“I think that Bristol’s outlook on life is probably different from mine, and that contrast could be interesting to listen to,” Blades said.

Palin purchased a five-bedroom home in the Cobblestone Community in December for $172,000.

There were initial reports that Palin would be attending journalism school at ASU and staying in the Maricopa home, but the director of the school told the Arizona Republic Palin never registered to be a student at ASU.

It is not known if the daughter of the former Alaska governor purchased the home as an investment property or to live in, or if she plans a career in radio.
