Breakfast with the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce, a chance to help cheerleading in Maricopa and getting together with friendly rivals on game day highlight this week’s business briefs.
Chamber breakfast served up Sept. 19
The Maricopa Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly breakfast on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 7:15-8:30 a.m. at the Global Water Facility, 22590 N. Powers Parkway. The breakfast is sponsored by Waste Management.
Those attending will have the opportunity to meet new chamber members that include Farmers Insurance (Irene Lathrop), First Baptist Church, Abundant Hope Counseling, AND Northup, Duderbugs, Green Planet Cleaners, LandTrust Arizona, M.R. Tanner Construction, Saturn of Tempe and Treasured Smiles Children’s Dentistry.
The guest speaker will be Major Paul Babau with the Arizona National Guard.
The fee to attend is $10 pre pay, $12 for members at the door (no exceptions) and $15 non-member flat.

Copa Cheer Booster Club
The Copa Cheer Booster Club, a group of parents and sponsors who have come together to support the cheerleaders of Maricopa High School, are looking to provide funding for uniforms, camps, future competitions and general support of the cheerleaders.
The club is doing this by assigning annual dues to each booster member and holding fundraisers. CCBC is looking for corporate and business sponsors who would be willing to provide monetary donations. Their promise to donors as a donating business is to let the community know that they support Maricopa’s youth.

Native New Yorker offers breakfast on Sundays
Native New Yorker is expanding its menu – and hours – during the football season. Native will serve breakfast on Sunday’s beginning at 9:30 a.m.
