Native New Yorker celebrates anniversary Aug. 3-5: Native New Yorker, 21164 N. John Wayne Parkway, will celebrate its anniversary weekend Aug. 3-5.

A number of grand prize giveaways will be given out Sunday, Aug. 5, at 8 p.m. They include: 42″ HD TV, a pair of Diamondbacks tickets, 12 free wings per week for one year, and a Monday Night Football party (In-house, for up to six people, $150 value). Door prizes will be handed out all weekend long.

The restaurant will have specials all weekend, including $.30 wings (Dine in only with drink purchase) and Happy Hour from 3 p.m. Friday to Sunday at close.

Lennar Homes holding meet and greet: Lennar Homes is holding a Meet and Greet Luncheon Wednesday, Aug. 8, noon to 2 p.m. at its community in Maricopa. The community is called Sorento and is located on Hartman Road, 1.5 miles south of Honeycutt Road.

Lennar Homes will use the opportunity to get to know members of local businesses.

Inaugural Golf Tournament Aug. 11: Maricopa High School Football Booster Club will hold the 2007 Inaugural Kickoff Classic Golf Tournament Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Duke at Rancho El Dorado, 42660 West Rancho El Dorado Parkway in Maricopa. The event will raise funds to support the school’s football program.

The 2007 Kickoff Classic will be the major source of funding for current and future football teams that includes, but is not limited to, the following items: helmets, pads, jerseys and pants, away game meals, footballs, upgraded concession stand, blocking sled ice machine, washer and dryer (for uniforms) and video equipment.

Spay, neuter clinic held Aug. 17: (M.A.S.H.) and Dr. Neufeld will hold a low cost spay and neuter clinic in Maricopa on Friday, Aug. 17, at Stage Stop Marketplace, 43301 Maricopa Casa Grande Highway. Drop off is between 7:30 and 8 a.m.

Both canine/feline spaying and neutering will be available. Vaccines for Da2pp, Rabies, FVRCP, Bordetella and Feline Leukemia will also be available, as will several tests. Microchips and nail trim w/surgery will also be offered.
