Preschool enrollment
Little Acorns Preschool is enrolling two-year-old children for part-time classes that will begin in August. Spaces are limited due to its low teacher-to-student ratio. The daily schedule includes age-appropriate activities, story time, Spanish and sign language, art projects, music appreciation and plenty of opportunity for the children to interact socially. Networking Maricopa meeting
Networking Maricopa group is meeting June 12 at the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce office at 45138 W. Garvey, Unit B, next to the Interim City Hall. Networking Maricopa is a group of business people committed to supporting each other through lead sharing and cross promotion. Each group is limited to one company from each profession to avoid cross competition. The current group meets on the second Tuesday of each month, and more groups will be forming soon. Marketing 101 Panel
Learn how to spread the word about your business by attending the Marketing 101 Panel hosted by the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce on June 26. Annexation meetings
City officials will hold two meetings this week to discuss the proposed annexation of 44 square miles to include Thunderbird Farms. The first meeting is June 12 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Mountain View Community Church’s parking lot, 50881 W. Papago Road. The second is June 16 from 1-3 p.m. at Maricopa Wells Middle School Multi-Purpose Room, 45725 W. Honeycutt Ave. For more information call (520) 568-9098.

July 4 celebration
The City of Maricopa will host the Great American Barbeque July 4 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Pacana Park. The event will offer food, family activities and fireworks. Attendance is free. The all-you-can-eat barbeque is $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
