Mmm … 31-cent ice cream.

In honor of the National Firefighters Foundation, the Baskin-Robbins store in Maricopa will join others across the nation in reducing the price of a scoop of ice cream to 31 cents from 5 to 10 p.m. April 30 at the store, 20294 N. John Wayne Parkway.

Customers may buy up to 10 scoops each.

Besides the reduction in price, Baskin-Robbins will also make a $100,000 donation to the firefighter organization. Donation boxes at the stores will be available for customers who wish to contribute to the cause.

The National Firefighters Foundation is an organization that provides firefighters with training to prevent deaths in the line of duty and offers the public information to prevent fires in local communities. In addition, the organization provides assistance to families of fallen firefighters.
