Want a career in web design? Ever wanted to design a magazine ad? Do you wonder about all those quirky little tricks you can do in Photoshop?

Central Arizona College’s associate degree in graphic design may be the perfect fit.

The program offers hands-on training in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, animation tools for web design, and design principles and techniques.

The program’s curriculum is that of an interdisciplinary program, including courses from several CAC departments. These courses include.

• Graphic Design
• Digital Photography & Photoshop
• Web Design & Layout
• Introduction to Mass Communication
• Small Business Management
• Art History

Students in the CAC graphic design program can expect a sense of community and support among its faculty and students. Lasting friendships grow out of the courses taken, and some lead to professional contacts.

In small and intimate classroom settings, students are taught by professors with substantial professional experience in the fields of design, photography, web design, business and art. CAC professors help students find internships, contacts and offer other help and advice for their careers.

Graphic design students have opportunities for experiences outside the classroom, both on and off the campus. Students can join the Art Club, which frequently travels to exhibits and lectures in the arts.

In addition, students are afforded the chance to work for The CACtus campus newspaper in design and photography as student employment.
