CAC offering free small business start-up seminar

Potential future small business owners can head to the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce office Wednesday for a seminar on how to start or buy a business.

“We hope to answer all potential small business owners’ questions through the seminar,” said Lorrie Pena, spokesperson for Central Arizona College’s small business program.

The two-hour curriculum, taught by one of the college’s small business counselors, is taught throughout the year at multiple locations in the county with the goal of creating new business opportunities.

“So many people want to start or buy a business but don’t know what is involved,” Pena said.
