Two Texas women may have to run through Fast & Friendly car a second time, not because the car wasn’t clean, but because it was covered in debris from their trip through the block wall at the exit of the wash.

About 8:30 Monday morning, two women in a vehicle with Texas license plates exited the car wash and neglected to turn left, ramming through the 3-foot-high block wall at the perimeter of the property. The wall toppled into a desert area between the car wash and John Wayne Parkway.

According to police spokesman Sgt. Hal Koozer, the incident was simply an accident.

“She simply stepped on the gas and went through the wall after coming out of the tunnel,” Koozer said.

No one was injured in the accident.

Fast & Friendly manager Robert Floyd said he wasn’t sure how the accident occurred.

“I guess they were just making us a shortcut,” Floyd said. “But seriously, it’s a good thing they didn’t make it out there (to John Wayne Parkway). That would have been bad.”
