Maricopa CIty Council Town Hall
InMaricopa will host a town hall for city council candidates at p.m. Thursday on Facebook Live.

The six candidates running for three seats on Maricopa City Council will take questions from voters at Thursday’s 2020 Primary Election Town Hall hosted by InMaricopa.

Incumbents Julia Gusse and Nancy Smith are seeking re-election, and there is an open seat with Councilmember Marvin Brown deciding not to seek another term. Challengers Linette Caroselli, Andre LaFond, Amber Liermann and Bob Marsh are running as well.

The Facebook Live town hall will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, but is not open to the public due to limited occupancy and other health guidelines in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The candidates will take questions from voters watching live on the InMaricopa Facebook page as well as the facilitators for the event, Jim Chaston of Chaston Taxes & Accounting and Scott Bartle, publisher of InMaricopa.

Candidates will practice social distancing and the use of face masks is highly recommended. Hand sanitizer will also be available.

The event is sponsored by Chaston Taxes & Accounting and Be Awesome Youth Coalition.
