The results of a hotel feasibility study come before the Maricopa City Council on Tuesday during a work session.
The purpose of the study was to determine what type and size of hotel would be the best fit for the city. Maricopa’s only hotel remains the Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort.
The work session, which begins at 6 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, also includes presentations from organizations providing updates on programs that received Maricopa Nonprofit Funding Program money. Those include Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, Barcelona AZ soccer club and Maricopa Alliance Against Substance Abuse.
In executive session, the council will discuss recycling and household hazardous waste collection (see related story) and receive an update on the Maricopa City Court.
