City Hall to close Dec. 23 to Jan. 2 for the holidays; facilities also impacted

Most Maricopa city employees are getting a break for the holidays.

City Hall will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, through and including Monday, Jan. 2. Employees return to work at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

There will be no break for emergency and essential services, however. Those will continue to be provided at full staffing levels 24/7. Maricopa Police, dispatch, and Maricopa Fire Department stations will remain open as usual.

Several city facilities will have modified schedules through Jan. 3.

Upcoming schedule for Copper Sky:

Friday, Dec. 23: Open 5 a.m.-10 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 24: Open 7 a.m.-12 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 25: Closed.

Monday, Dec. 26, through Friday, Dec. 30: Open 5 a.m.-10 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 31: Open 7 a.m.-12 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 1: Closed.

Monday, Jan. 2: 5 a.m. – 10 p.m.

 

Upcoming schedule for Maricopa Public Library & Cultural Center:

Friday, Dec. 23: Open 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 24, through Monday, Mon, Dec. 26: Closed.

Tuesday, Dec. 27, through Thursday, Dec. 29: Open 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 30: Open 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 31, through Monday, Jan. 2: Closed.

 

Upcoming schedule for Maricopa Community/Senior Center:

Monday, Dec. 26, through Monday, Jan. 2: Closed.

Tuesday, Jan: 3: Resume normal schedule.

 

Any days not listed will be normal hours of operation.

Employees will use accrued holiday time to accommodate closures, meaning there is no additional cost to the city.

The VIP Portal will remain available 24/7 as the city continues to exclusively process permits and inspections virtually.
