City offers Property Tax Seminar to help residents understand their taxes

Full cash value? Limited value? Those are the figures homeowners receive on their Residential Notice of Value. But what do they mean, and, more importantly, what is the bottom line? How much will you have to pay in property taxes this year?

On Tuesday, August 29, 7 p.m., at Maricopa High School, the City of Maricopa will present a Property Tax Seminar to help residents learn about the property tax system in Arizona and how credits, exemptions and limitations can reduce property taxes paid.

Area residents should bring their most recent Pinal County Property Tax Bill to the seminar. They will learn about the following taxation information:

Primary and secondary values for all property
Primary and secondary taxes paid by property owners
Credits, exemptions and limitations available to homeowners
A comparison of taxes in Pinal and Maricopa Counties
