Maricopa seeks a minor General Plan Amendment and rezoning for an area of approximately two acres at the northeastern corner of West McDavid Road and North Green Road.

The proposed change would alter the current General Plan mixed-use designation to employment and change the general rural zoning to light industrial.

A neighborhood meeting on the proposal is 6 p.m. on May 4 at the Library and Cultural Center, 18160 N. Maya Angelou Drive. The public is welcome to learn about the proposal and offer comments.

Additionally, a Planning and Zoning meeting is 6 p.m. May 22 at City Council chambers, 39700 W. Civic Center Plaza, to review and approve the proposal.

Finally, the proposal will be considered by the City Council during a meeting at 6 p.m. on June 6.
