Leading Edge Academy is accepting applications for the Instructional Aides and Full Time Teaching positions at our Maricopa campus in the following areas: 2nd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, Middle School ELA, Middle School Social Studies, Middle School Science
Essential Duties
- Plans a program of study, employing a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students as well as state academic standards
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
- Utilizes multi-sensory activities including audio/visual and computer presentations, outside and change of location activities, visuals, and graphics
- Evaluates students’ academic and social growth, maintains accurate gradebook, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports and report cards.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with parents, students, Principal, other teachers/aides, and District staff
- Posts grades to gradebook in a timely manner to provide parents and students with accurate information

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution. Bachelor’s degree in Education preferred
- Meets all appropriately certified requirements for the grade level or subject area including proper teaching area endorsements.
- Current Arizona teaching certificate preferred
- Current IVP Fingerprint clearance card required
This position is for the 2022-2023 School Year. Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits available but not part of the Arizona State Retirement System.
