Coffee with Chief to focus on domestic violence

Maricopa residents will get to sit down with Police Chief Steve Stahl inside the new police administration building for this month’s Coffee with the Chief.

The open meeting begins 8 a.m. Saturday at the new building, 39675 W. Civic Center Plaza. The facility is next to the new city hall off White and Parker Road, just north of Bowlin Road.

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, police spokesman Ricky Alvarado said Saturday’s community meeting will focus on this topic.
Residents will learn what constitutes domestic violence, how police handle it and what resources are available to the department.

Attendees should enter the main lobby of the building. They will then be escorted to a meeting area.
