Over a series of meetings this week, the Maricopa City Council is taking on planning and infrastructure issues.

A work session tonight includes an executive session to get legal advice on amendment to the agreement for recycling and household hazardous waste collection services with Environmental Concerns Organization. That will be followed in the regular meeting by possible action on extending the agreement.

The council will also see a resolution for imposing fees for licensing and regulating the refuse collection and setting a solid waste fee schedule.

The 6 p.m. work session includes a presentation on the history and development of the East West Corridor Study by Jacobs Engineering. In the regular meeting, the council will consider approving recommendations arising from the East West Corridor Study.
