A chilly Wednesday evening brought joy (and fright) to a large crowd, and loads of candy kept the kiddos happy and buzzing in what may have been the busiest Pacana Park Pumpkin Walk the city has seen.

Families and friends dressed in costumes, some with the intent to scare, others in their favorite movie or video-game characters.

While trick-or-treating commenced, the Maricopa High School band accompanied it with tunes for the crowd as it meandered among the 100 vendors.

For those who wanted something besides candy, food trucks were available.

The event ended with full bags of candy and happy families.
