Deadline for “Best Mom in Maricopa” contest is Wednesday

inmaricopa.com and Bashas’ “Best Mom in Maricopa” contest deadline is quickly approaching. The cutoff for accepting entries is 11:59 p.m. Wedensday, May 4. The winners will receive fantastic prizes provided by Bashas’ to present to their mothers on Mother’s Day, this Sunday (see related story).

Maddie Decker, a member of Nancy Rollins 5^th grade class, used this opportunity to talk about how grateful she is for all her mom’s hard work. Decker’s essay, featured below, is sure to make her mother feel good on her special day..

My mom is the best mom in Maricopa because she is awesome. She keeps the house clean, makes sure I get to bed on time, and takes me to fun places. She has the toughest job, being a mom.

Between all her hard work she does, she squeezes in time for fun. My mom is the greatest mom in Maricopa because she is always there for me. If I am sad, she cheers me up. We do a lot of mother-daughter things, too. I think my mom is the best mom in Maricopa. She is fun, loving, and really nice. After reading my essay, you should think so too.
