The Signal Peak Early Learning Center, on the Central Arizona College Campus in Coolidge, has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children, also known as NAEYC.

The college campus houses and provides classes to many Maricopa-based students. The Early Learning Center provides year-round learning and care for children ages 1-5.  The Early Learning Center supports student parents, working parents, CAC faculty and staff.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for all of our hard work as professional Early Childhood Educators,” said Laura Salter, center director.

To earn NAEYC Accreditation, Signal Peak went through an extensive self-study and quality-improvement process. NAEYC assessors visited the campus to verify and ensure the program met its standards.

“NAEYC-Accredited programs have committed to a process that takes time, energy and dedication to complete,” said Alissa Mwenelupembe, senior director of early-learning accreditation.

“The Signal Peak Early Learning Center has demonstrated their commitment to young children and their families.”
