The proposed East-West Parkway would link SR 347 to I-10 through Casa Grande.

Pinal County, in coordination with the cities of Maricopa and Casa Grande, is holding informational meetings to invite the public to comment on a recommended alternative for a new east-west parkway connecting Interstate 10 with State Route 347.

The presentation in Maricopa is tonight is from 6 to 8 p.m. at Copper Sky Multigenerational Center in Multipurpose Room A.

Since the February 2013 public scoping meetings, possible parkway-concept corridor alternatives have been identified between SR 347 and I-10 to provide additional capacity and connectivity. In addition, the team also evaluated the consequences of not constructing a new transportation facility, known as the No Build Alternative.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an update on the study, present the recommended alternative, and provide the opportunity for public comment.

A brief presentation on the study will be followed by an open house where representatives from the county, city personnel and study team members will be present to answer questions. The presentation will be the same at each meeting.
