March is Music Appreciation Month, and, in order to celebrate it, five district elementary schools will be holding simultaneous concerts on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. Saddleback Elementary’s concert is scheduled for Tuesday.

Every school will be singing the same music at the same time, and the event will be a tribute to the district’s Music in Our Schools Month. Parents, families, staff and community residents are all invited to attend a concert at any of the school sites.

“The idea of doing Maricopa’s Largest Concert originally came from the World’s Largest Concert that is held during our spring break but has a similar idea on a much larger scale,” said Nicole Munns, music instructor at Maricopa Elementary School..

Maricopa Elementary will hold a first grade concert on Tuesday called “Spring Cleaning.” “Most of the music is related to spring, and the concert will also include some of the students’ favorite songs covered over the course of the school year,” said Munns.

“We look forward to all these events, and we hope to see everyone there,” Munns added.
