The City of Maricopa will hold two community information sessions regarding the opening of the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) on Monday, Feb. 22 at noon and Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. in city council chambers. Councilmember Henry Wade and Gayle Randolph of the NID Housing Counseling Agency will host the sessions to inform residents of the program.

The sessions are intended to provide residents with the opportunity to learn about the scope and benefits of ERAP and access to the technology needed to apply for ERAP benefits through the Department of Economic Security’s designated portals.

Attendees will be briefed on ERAP program guidelines, qualifying factors and source document needs.

Limited seating will be available in council chambers for those who wish to attend in person. Those unable to attend may watch the session live on Facebook or YouTube. A recording of the first session will be available at the conclusion of the livestream on both platforms.

Those that qualify can return Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 6 to 9 p.m. for assistance completing their application. Computers and printers will be available for residents to complete their applications and submit them while on site.
