Entrees Made Easy closes doors

Entrees Made Easy has closed its doors, at least for now.

Brett Carlisle, co-owner of the franchise business, said while the store is not open for business, it isn’t officially closed, either.

“We’re just taking some time to reorganize the model to make sure we can keep the doors open,” he said on Thursday.

The Carlisles and Entrees Made Easy after about a year of serving up homemade dishes ready to serve at home or at gatherings have become local staples for catering needs. They provided the main dish, for example, for this year’s Seeds of Change Gala benefit event for Against Abuse, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to helping women and children escape domestic violence.

In recent months, the business began a lunch delivery service with sandwiches, salads, pasta and more available for purchase separately or with a drink and a side.

Whether Entrees will continue to serve up dishes on a modified basis or will be completely closed for an undetermined amount of time is not clear.

Brett Carlisle and his co-owner and wife, Sue Carlisle, declined to provide further detail.
