A vigorous artistic contest will take place on the evening of March 11th when Maricopa ARTS Council’s 2023 All-Arizona Poetry Slam Championship is presented at Honeycutt Coffee.  Poets from all over the state will battle in a three-round, elimination contest — a 14-person “duel” in the art of performance of one’s own original poetry, judged by members of the on-site audience.  Maricopa ARTS Council will award prizes cresting $1,000 will be awarded to the 3 winners. //A very-special prelude event to the Slam will be the prize ceremony and exhibit of winning artworks by the three winners of MAC’s 2023 Online ABSTRACT ART CONTEST ‘Anything Goes’.
