Age-Friendly Maricopa Advisory Committee

The Committee will receive a request on behalf of the Church of Celebration to partner for the purpose of providing
city meeting space. The space would be used to offer a free legal clinic to Maricopa residents on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 9 am to 1 pm.
The Committee will receive an overview from Ms. June Celaya – Principal, Desert Wind Middle School regarding the topics discussed at the Maricopa Youth Council Town Hall, especially as it pertains to how seniors and youth may align and partner.
The Committee will finalize plans for the upcoming Age-Friendly Maricopa Game Night on Friday, 4/29/16, 6:30 – 9:00 PM at Copper Sky, Activity Room A held and receive an update regarding future events.
The Committee will receive from David Maestas, Transportation/Transit Planner a follow-up draft of the Transportation survey for additional input.
The Committee will discuss requests/needs/ ideas for senior activities in MUSD facilities.
The Committee will receive an update from Delphene Armstrong with respect to follow-up discussions with Dan Beach regarding potential MCE senior partnering options.
The Committee will discuss results from the Senior Info/Expo & Health Fair Participating Organization survey.

The Committee will receive an update from Mckinzy Blewett regarding the Future Teenage Leaders Copa Center painting project.
The Committee will receive an update regarding a request from Bridgeway Health Solutions (Bridgeway takes care of Maricopa’s long term care for the state of AZ) on behalf of a diabetic eye exam provider called “Eyes on Sight.”
The Committee will discuss the open Age-Friendly Maricopa Advisory Committee position.
