The substation will house Maricopa Police Department Communications Center, where all 911 calls in the City of Maricopa will be answered, as well as the Property Evidence Unit, a Community Room/Regional Training Center and Emergency Operations Center. The Maricopa Police Department Community Action Team and K-9 Officers will be deployed from the substation to establish a greater police presence in the southern part of the city. The site is approximately 5.6 acres and the building is designed to be expanded in future phases.
