Put the giddy-up in your step and head on down to the Family Hoedown hosted by the nonprofit DSPA Gems, Inc. Western BBQ Buffet, Line Dancing Lessons, Western Games, Family Photos, DJ and Live Entertainment, all for $20 for adults and $12 for children age 10 and under.

DSPA Gems fund-raises to provide tuition grants for performing arts classes to children who would otherwise not be able to afford to attend. To date, DSPA Gems has awarded over $20,000 to 39 low-income recipients. Also funded by DSPA Gems is the Inspire special needs dance program and periodic public school dance instruction to students attending MUSD #20 elementary schools. DSPA Gems continues to provide performance opportunities to Maricopa children involved in performing arts programs by funding and hosting community events such as the Annual Sugar Plum Tea and Maricopa’s Annual Daddy-Daughter Dance. DSPA Gems also intends to host a Mother-Son dance this Spring.
