Maricopa should prepare for summer-like temperatures as the air is likely to heat up this week, according to the National Weather Service. As monsoon season is forecast to arrive in the next 10 days or so, daily highs are likely to hang above 100 while a light breeze dances around the city well into the weekend, and beyond.

Monday is likely to mostly clear and hot with a high around 107 during the day and a low near 76 at night as winds pick up to around 15 or 20 mph.

Tuesday should again be sunny and clear, though calm, with a high around 108 and a low near 76 at night.

Wednesday looks to be sunny with a high around 107 during the day with a light breeze of 15 mph bringing in a few clouds in the evening as the temperature drops to near 75.

Thursday should be sunny, calm and mostly clear with a high around 106 and during the day and a low around 73 at night.

Friday is likely to be sunny and breezy with winds gusting up to 20 mph all day long as temperatures reach a high around 104 during the day and a low near 72 at night.
