Smoke was reported at Edwards Circle Thursday afternoon in a public housing complex.

“When crews arrived on scene they found smoke coming from the top of the structure coming out from the eaves,” Maricopa Fire/Medical Department spokesman Brad Pitassi said. “They went inside and they couldn’t initially see to find the fire yet.”

Crews contained the fire quickly, but the origin was not pinpointed.

“It appeared it may have been in the attic or could be the wall,” Pitassi said.

The building was next door to Pinal County Head Start.
