Pinal County is under a flash flood warning until noon today, according to the National Weather Service. At 8:56, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the area.

Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected.

Some roads around Maricopa are already closed due to flooding.

State Route 238 is closed west of Ralston Road. Hartman Road is closed south of Farrell Road. Farrell is closed east of White and Parker Road. Murphy Road is closed north of Honeycutt Road.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.

Roads that pass the Santa Rosa Wash such as Porter Road and Rancho El Dorado Parkway are currently open.

Roads that carry water from the Sacaton Mountains such as Murphy Road, Anderson Road and Peters Nall Road are currently open, use caution as these roadways have some erosion and can receive flash flooding.
