Assault arrest Maricopa
A Maricopa woman is facing an assault charge after a Sunday morning incident in which she threw a vape pen at her husband, cutting his head.

A man was arrested last week at a Maricopa home for allegedly pushing a plate of food into his sister’s face.

James Boone arrested at 9:14 p.m. last Wednesday and charged with assault/domestic violence and disorderly conduct/domestic violence, according to police.

Boone and a sister were together at a home on West Cowpath Road in Senita when an argument about the preparation of food they were about to eat escalated, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Boone’s sister was transported to Chandler Regional Medical Center for treatment of a possible dislocated shoulder, police said.

She told officers that James stood and pushed a paper plate of food in her face and she subsequently fell off her chair, police said.

When questioned by officers, James said he and his sister were on the backyard patio when they began to argue about financial issues, according to police. James allegedly confirmed that he became frustrated and shoved the plate of food in her face, police said.

According to witnesses cited in the affidavit, the sister began arguing with James about the preparation of the food, and that escalated into a verbal altercation which the witnesses did not see but did hear.
