The Maricopa Police Department today announced the arrest of four individuals suspected of involvement in an incident at Walmart last week.
The arrests were made Wednesday during service of two different search warrants in Maricopa, according to a Facebook post by MPD.
“The arrests stemmed from an incident at the local Walmart last week in which two people were assaulted,” the post read. “The search warrants yielded evidence that helped tie these individuals to the crime. All suspects are being booked in Pinal County jails on multiple felony charges. Three of the four arrested were juveniles.”
MPD does not release the names of juveniles arrested. The name of the adult was not immediately available.
The Department of Public Safety, Arizona State Gang task force and Pinal County Regional SWAT team assisted in the service of the warrants.
The MPD statement added that such arrests are uncommon in the city.
“Incidents like these are rare in Maricopa,” the post said. “But when they happen, the Maricopa Police Department takes them seriously and is committed to catching and prosecuting those who hurt others.”
There were no injuries during the service of the warrants.
InMaricopa will provide additional details as they become available.
